Here at Spatial Quotient we are always looking at how we can improve as a business. We are keen to showcase our values and improve our Social and Environmental performance. As a team we have decided to really push ourselves and become 1 of only 366 businesses in the Uk and 1700 in 50 Countries across the World to become a Certified B Corporation (B Corp). Read below to find out more

What does it mean to be a Certified B Corp?

Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social & environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

Why do SQ want to become a B Corp?

At SQ, we don’t just care about improved healthcare, we also care about our impact, on both society and the environment.

Being a Certified B Corp is a way for us to demonstrate these values, and show that we are a business interested in both shareholder & stakeholder success. The clear B Corp identity will help us to communicate our values to our customers. We want to show that we are different from the industry norm.

How are SQ going to become a Certified B Corp?

To become fully certified, SQ must score 80 out of a possible 200 points in an online survey of 150 questions about our social and environmental credentials, as well as pass a phone interview with B Lab. This includes having clear policies in place for whistle-blowing, parental leave & environmental sustainability; working on our employee satisfaction; and providing training on diversity, equity & inclusion plus much more.

We must also provide the necessary supporting documentation to validate our claims, and amend our corporate bylaws to include our commitment to positive social and environmental change.

As you can see this is a very exciting journey we have started and with a dedicated team working on all the requirements we need we will hopefully have a great announcement in the near future! Keep your eyes peeled.
