Recovered Objects - Field Catalog
Players will come across various interactive containers such as drawers, cabinets, lockers, etc. Loot these to find cassette tapes, flashlight batteries, and more to increase your character's abilities, or uncover clues.
Various objects throughout the levels can be manipulated. Document specifics as discovered.
Environmental and item-based puzzles block progress or hide secrets. Solutions classified.
Items that can be consumed to restore stats or provide temporary effects:
Restores Hydration. Primary water source in the Backrooms. Used in many crafting recipes.
Increases Maximum Health when consumed.
Restore Nourishment. Full list pending.
Disposable 'C' batteries. Power source for flashlight and other devices. Commonly found in containers. Dullers will steal these.
Natural ingredients found growing or scattered throughout the Backrooms. Used in crafting.
A fungus native to the Backrooms. Found growing in dark, damp areas. Used to craft Shroom Powder.

Small berries found growing throughout the Backrooms. Can be ground into Sporetella. Warning: May be used as bait by Junglegym Mimics.

A specialized weapon that disrupts entities existing between dimensions. Required for the Mother's Calling questline. Can also destroy the Howling Bacteria.

Throughout the Backrooms, you'll encounter barricaded passages - windows and doors blocked by wooden boards. These require the Hammer to remove.
Always carry a Hammer when exploring. Some escape routes are only accessible by breaking through barricades. Without one, you may find yourself trapped.
Audio recordings found throughout the Backrooms. Contains testimonies, logs, and clues about the stories of those who came before.

Anomalous objects that grant abilities or alter gameplay. Collect artifacts to grow stronger across runs.
Identical markings adorn both sides. Origin and denomination unknown. Used as currency in the Backrooms - your coin count is displayed in the Inventory screen.
A pair of dice with no markings on any face. Their purpose and effects remain a mystery to be discovered.
Scattered pieces of what was once a complete doll. Collect all 6 parts to restore the whole. Each part found is tracked in your inventory (e.g., "Doll Parts 1/6").
A mask representing the dramatic aspects of comedy and lightheartedness. Its expression changes based on Victor's Sanity level.

Workbenches can be found in certain locations throughout the Backrooms. Interact with one to access the crafting interface, where you can combine the strange objects and substances you've collected into new items.
Some recipes require specific workbench equipment: Mortar & Pestle for grinding, Bunsen Burner for heating, or Chemistry Set for mixing compounds.
Experiment with different combinations. Some recipes are more valuable than others.
