The Caves
Environment
A sprawling underground cave system of natural rock formations, stalactites, and ancient passages. The darkness here is oppressive - without proper lighting, navigation becomes nearly impossible and entities lurk in every shadow.
The caves can be accessed via the Spiral Door Puzzle in The Playgrounds or through other level transitions. The environment shifts between narrow tunnels and vast caverns.
Unique Equipment
🏮 The Lantern
An antique oil lantern discovered deep within The Caves. Unlike the standard Flashlight, The Lantern is fueled by Almond Water rather than batteries.
Effect: The Lantern's flame radiates an unusual glow that seems to ward off hostile entities. Many creatures of the Backrooms are repelled by its light, making it invaluable for exploration in dangerous areas.
Controls: Press L to toggle, R to reload with Almond Water.
Location: Found within The Caves. Search thoroughly - its protective properties are essential for surviving the deeper Backrooms.
