Information used by the game

Your progress, settings and personal ghost recordings are stored on your device. On the Steam edition, configured Steam Cloud saves can synchronize progress through Steam. Android progress is stored locally.

When the game connects to its online features, Unity Gaming Services creates or reuses an anonymous player identifier. You do not need to give us an email address or password to play. Online services process that identifier, your chosen player name, name-plate appearance, submitted scores and run statistics. A published top ghost can include a recording of movements and shape changes linked to your online identifier and score. Multiplayer exchanges player identity, selected built-in course settings and the movements and results needed for the match.

Unity services also process connection and service information, including an installation identifier sent during sign-in, IP addresses, service requests, region information and performance or diagnostic information needed to operate the services. This information supports authentication, score validation, multiplayer routing, reliability and abuse prevention.

The Android game does not contain advertising or an in-app purchase SDK. Purchases are handled by the store, under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment-card information through the game.

When Google Play Games achievements are configured and online access is allowed, Android uses Google Play Games to authenticate the player and submit earned achievements. Google processes the Play Games identity, achievement unlocks and SDK analytics/diagnostics described in Google's Play Games data disclosure. The game uses the Google player identifier in memory for achievement delivery; it does not link it to Unity's online identity or store it with local progress. Google handles its account credentials. Local achievements remain available during offline and solo-only play.

If you select music for a custom solo course, the game reads and analyses that file locally. The current multiplayer course packet contains built-in selection indices and course settings, rather than the imported audio file or its filename. Files you voluntarily attach to a support email are processed to handle that request.

Public information and service providers

Your chosen player name, name plate, score and rank can be visible to other players. Published ghosts and multiplayer play also make associated gameplay information available to other players. Choose a display name that does not contain private contact information.

We use Unity Gaming Services for online functionality. See Unity's privacy policy for its information handling. Email and store providers process information needed to deliver their services. We do not use the game to sell personal information or deliver targeted advertising.

Retention and your choices

Online identities and stored scores, name plates and published ghost data do not have an automatic expiry configured by the game. They remain until removed through a deletion request, service administration or replacement/reset of the relevant gameplay records. Resetting a leaderboard can leave an archived version; we include associated archives when handling deletion requests.

You can play solo courses without an internet connection. Declining score publication prevents the game's leaderboard submissions; it does not erase an online identity or previously stored information, and multiplayer can still use online services. Removing the app or clearing its data removes local saves, but does not by itself remove server records. Service providers may retain operational records under their applicable practices. Any information that must be retained for a legal or security reason will be explained when responding to a request.

To request access, correction or deletion, email spatialquotient@gmail.com, or use the data deletion page. Settings > Profile provides privacy links and a way to copy your online player ID. If you have uninstalled the game or do not have that ID, contact us with your player name and other non-sensitive details you remember. You do not have to reinstall the game to ask for help. We may request limited information to verify ownership before changing or deleting an online record. Never send passwords, authentication tokens or payment-card details.

Deleting online data includes the anonymous online identity and its associated scores, name plate and published ghosts. It does not remove your separately stored device progress or your purchase entitlement. Joining online services again can create a new identity.

Google Play Games achievements belong to your Play Games profile. Manage or delete that data through Google's Play Games data controls. A request to Spatial Quotient to delete Unity online data does not delete your Google account or Play Games profile. Local achievement progress can submit again when you reconnect; clearing game data also removes local progress.

Security, children and changes

Service APIs use encrypted HTTPS connections. Android multiplayer uses Unity Relay with DTLS encryption. Access to administrative online records is restricted to service operators.

On Android, FLOWFALL asks for an age range before enabling online services. The choice stays on the device and is not sent to Unity or included in Cloud progress. Players under 18, players who skip the choice and players whose age is unknown can play Story, Arcade, local Daily Drop and custom solo courses. Their game does not initialize Unity online services or Google Play Games, publish scores or names, retrieve public ghosts or enter multiplayer. Achievements are earned and saved locally. Local progress and personal ghosts remain available. Community and studio/store links are disabled for these players. Players 18 and older can use online features. This conservative threshold avoids asking for a country or parental-consent information. The Android age screen does not apply to the desktop edition.

Selecting a solo-only age range does not delete data from an earlier online session. A parent or guardian can contact spatialquotient@gmail.com for help with a child's information or a deletion request. If you voluntarily contact support, we process the information in that message to respond. Please have a parent or guardian handle support requests for younger players.

We will update this policy when our practices change and identify the revision date on the public page.
